Literature Text
if i could describe how i feel,
i'd throw around words like
apathy and uncertainty
(if i could).
we spend nights together
(as if we fear the sun will melt
the waxed bonds of togetherness).
let's stay young forever, you said
(though as your knuckles cracked,
i could hear the innocence leaving you behind).
i told you i'll be there until the sidewalk ends
(but from then on you'll be on your own,
for i'm far too afraid of the forest).
vintage vinyls reflect age-old sentiments
emerging in our teenage lust
(i'd like to think these are understandable,
but i've not yet had them deciphered).
decisions are always better made in hindsight
(i think i'll wait).
my cognition is sporadic at best;
i think in two's and four's,
and you've always been prime
(i'm not worried,
i just don't know).

This poem kind of feels like rainy days to me, and thinking about how everything has to end. It's kind of a morbid thought.. but I love the way you used punctuation to make it more meaningful Awesome job!
